Summary
StarlingHF does not collect, transmit or share any personal data or health information.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software.
- No network requests. All content is bundled in the app and works offline.
- No access to contacts, photos, location, health data, camera or microphone.
Data stored on your device
The app saves one setting on your device only: that you have acknowledged the first-launch disclaimer, so it is not shown every time you open the app. This setting never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Calculator inputs
Values entered in the calculators, risk scores and the patient pathway stay on the screen while you use them and are not saved or sent anywhere. They are cleared when you leave the screen.
Patient information
The app has no fields for names, record numbers or other identifiers, and stores nothing you enter.
Children
StarlingHF is intended for clinicians and trainees and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
